SpeechEasy – improve your public speaking skills with your peers

Join us the 3rd Thu of each month

Introducing SpeechEasy, a new monthly event series at Camaraderie where you can practice and improve your public speaking skills among your peers.

This isn’t a stuffy program where you have to make your way through a workbook. This is a loosely structured,  no fuss, casual way to deliver a speech, talk, keynote, or other verbal presentation for the sole purpose of practice. And let’s face it, we can all use the practice.

Here’s how loosely structured it is:

  • must be between 3 and 5 minutes
  • can be on any topic and even be a portion of a longer talk
  • needs an intro, basic credentials if applicable, the speech itself, and some sort of sign off or conclusion.

That’s it!

Slides and props welcome, but totally optional. We’ll announce a theme in advance and if you don’t have something else to talk about, then you can choose to talk about the theme.

We’ll provide: coffee/tea, wifi, Mac and PC with projector, whiteboards with markers, and a time keeper.

Does this sound like scary fun? Join us for SpeechEasy at Camaraderie at 7:00pm on the 3rd Thu of each month starting Feb 20. Register at http://bit.ly/SpeechEasyFeb2014.

SpeechEasy is hosted by Bartek Ciszkowski and Rachel Young.
